Watches an awareness region
The glasses’ camera monitors a selected area for meaningful movement that may deserve your attention.

SightSweep is a smart-glasses prototype designed to notice meaningful activity around you and give discreet visual cues—helping direct your attention to things you may not see.
Real-world prototype demo
Driving is the first use case we're testing. Watch one pedestrian alert and two LOOK LEFT awareness cues captured during road testing—an early look at the broader assistance experience we're building toward.
Prototype footage from real-world testing
Situational awareness, without another screen.
The glasses’ camera monitors a selected area for meaningful movement that may deserve your attention.
SightSweep is being tuned to ignore ordinary motion and passing scenery so alerts stay useful.
A quick visual cue helps point your attention without becoming another screen to watch.
Our starting point
SightSweep began with a focused challenge: creating more useful one-sided awareness for people with hemianopia. That gave us a real problem to solve and a practical place to begin.
The idea has wider potential. We're building toward configurable left, right, or both-side awareness regions that could help direct attention while driving, walking, and moving through everyday environments.
Today
A one-sided awareness prototype.
Next
Left, right, or both awareness regions.
Long term
Added awareness alongside mobility tools.
A broader awareness platform
The core idea can extend beyond one condition or setting: define where help is needed, filter ordinary motion, and give a discreet cue when something deserves attention.
Adjustable settings can be explored for driving, walking, changing environments, and different comfort preferences.
SightSweep is intended to add a layer of awareness alongside—not instead of—safe habits and established assistive tools.
